First, mark out the area using wooden pegs and string, and ensure it’s level with a spirit level, Excavate to the required depth and compact the ground using a vibrating plate or tamper. Add a hardcore of MOT Type 1 sub-base and compact it again. Lay a sand bedding layer on top. Build timber shuttering around the perimeter, ensuring Its level. Mix cement, sand, aggregate, and water in a mixeror wheelbarrow, then pour and spread evenly. Finally, smooth with a trowel
